'MC Mong Sued by Kim Min-jong': "Let's Grab a Room and Book It," MC Mong Shows Unfazed Attitude

Rapper and producer MC Mong (46, real name Shin Dong-hyun) responded with "It's nothing" after being reported to the police by singer and actor Kim Min-jong (54).

On the 2nd, during a TikTok live broadcast, MC Mong was told by a BJ that he was involved in something bad.

In response, MC Mong said, "Have I been sued just once or twice? It's nothing," adding, "I've been sued twice before, and both times I was found not guilty."

He then showed a relaxed attitude, saying, "I won't hold a birthday party tomorrow. Let's go to a nightclub instead. Let's grab a room and book it."

Earlier, in May, MC Mong mentioned on his social media (SNS) during a live broadcast that an illegal gambling group known as 'Badugi' exists and that Kim Min-jong is involved in the entertainment industry.

Kim Min-jong's legal representative, law firm Okim, announced on the 1st that they had filed a complaint against MC Mong, stating, "His reputation and trust, built over approximately 38 years since his debut in 1988, have been seriously damaged." They filed the complaint against MC Mong on charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) on the 1st.

Kim Min-jong's side claimed, "Substantial damages have occurred, including the suspension of discussions for his next Hollywood project and two advertising contracts that were under negotiation."

They further stated, "We can no longer overlook the damage caused by content that is clearly false. We will cooperate diligently with the investigation process to clarify the facts and plan to take necessary legal actions sequentially, including a civil claim for damages."

They added, "If additional dissemination of false information or repeated posting is confirmed, we will take further legal measures, including an injunction prohibiting the spread of false statements. We can no longer watch our reputation, maintained for 38 years, and the trust of fans being damaged by baseless claims. Without any compromise, we will hold him fully accountable according to the law and principles until the end."
