Actress Lee Cheong-ah (41) has sustained a waist injury in a traffic accident and will drop out of the drama "Gofun Gofunhan Killer."
According to MyDaily on the 18th, Lee Cheong-ah was involved in a traffic accident while traveling for drama filming last month. Her already poor back condition worsened due to the accident.
After the accident, Lee Cheong-ah underwent treatment and returned to the filming set. She attempted to endure pain and continue filming but recently received a medical diagnosis recommending minimizing movement for over a month.
In particular, "Gofun Gofunhan Killer" includes action scenes, making it difficult to proceed with filming. The production team postponed Lee Cheong-ah's shooting schedule and waited for her recovery, but reportedly decided to have her drop out after determining that regaining her condition within a short period would be challenging. A replacement actress is currently being sought.
Lee Cheong-ah also suffered a hip injury from a traffic accident last year. With filming of the drama "Honor: Their Courtroom" beginning immediately, she could not receive adequate treatment and missed the optimal timing for care, enduring severe pain in her back and neck while completing the shoot.
"Gofun Gofunhan Killer" is a work depicting the story of a woman who was once a model housewife, whose only life plan was to be like a delicate flower, now forced into unexpected employment to survive outside the greenhouse. Lee Cheong-ah was scheduled to play Lee Hwa-ra, referred to by the codename "Missy."
