Actress Kim Ji-won shares her anxieties during a work hiatus as she prepares for her return to television after about two years.
Kim Ji-won appears on the tvN variety show "You Quiz on the Block," airing at 6 p.m. on the 7th.
Although Kim Ji-won has received great love for each of her works, she confesses that every time a long hiatus arrived, she felt anxious, thinking, "What if they forget me?" She also discusses what has changed as she moved from her 20s to her 30s, how she finds respite in daily life, and the time she spends at home along with her hobbies.
She also looks back on how she entered the entertainment industry. Kim Ji-won was street-cast in her third year of middle school, and there was a possibility that she would have debuted as a singer rather than an actress. She later became known through a Daejeon Life Insurance commercial featuring BIGBANG, and shares the behind-the-scenes story of a beverage commercial in which she participated as a substitute.
Anecdotes related to her representative works are not left out. In "The Heirs," she recalls the difficulties she faced while playing Yoo Ra-hel, a character whose personality differed from her own, and in "Descendants of the Sun," she remembers the filming process where it took five to six hours to complete a single scene.
The story continues with the casting process behind the line "I admire you" in "My Liberation Notes," as well as her experience playing a chaebol third-generation character in "Queen of Tears."
Her connection with Yoo Jae-suk is also mentioned. Kim Ji-won says, "I would like to add two more to the million good deeds of my senior," and shares what is known as the "teeth good deed" story.
Kim Ji-won returns to television with the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia," which premieres on the 9th. This marks her first return in about two years since "Queen of Tears," which aired in 2024.
