After MBC's variety show 'I Live Alone' revealed actor Kim Min's daily life, allegations emerged that his residence had been staged for the broadcast. As Kim Min expressed his feelings, saying "my heart is heavy," the production team drew a clear line against the manipulation claims, stating, "There was no staging."
On the 7th, the 'I Live Alone' production team stated, "The house featured in the broadcast is indeed the space where Mr. Kim Min actually resides," and added, "The production team did not separately maintain or stage any situations for the purpose of filming," thereby refuting the manipulation allegations.
Regarding Kim Min's use of a generator on the show, the production team explained, "It is something he normally uses in accordance with the actual electricity usage environment of that house; it is not a device specifically prepared or set up for filming," completely dismissing the suspicions.

Previously, 'I Live Alone' revealed that actor Kim Min lives in an old house built 90 years ago. In the broadcast, Kim Min was seen operating a generator himself, repairing worn-out floors with cement, and grilling meat over a wood fire, radiating the charm of a true person of nature.
He introduced the space as the home of an older brother he has known for a long time through family connections, explaining that he occasionally uses it while traveling abroad.
However, after the broadcast, suspicions were raised on some online communities that the 'I Live Alone' team had staged the space for the show. Additionally, voices of doubt emerged questioning whether it was a scripted setup, given that they operated a generator despite utility poles being nearby.
In response, Kim Min stated through Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today, "There is truly no manipulation or staging," and added, "Viewers may have various curiosities, and I am deeply grateful that it seems you watched with such enthusiasm."
Kim Min said, "The production team also formed a new bond with me during a sensitive period and worked hard together, but unexpected stories have emerged, which makes my heart heavy in one sense," and added, "I also feel unnecessarily sorry for the older brother and sister who lent me the house."
He further added, "It is a place filled with their precious memories, like family to me," and stated, "While I stay there, I am taking my time to repair and tend to what I can. I will continue to do so in the future as well."
