YTN Anchor Eom Jimin and star docent Jung Woo-cheol are set to tie the knot.
Anchor Eom shared wedding photos on her social media (SNS) on Monday, announcing, "I am getting married this Sunday, October 18." She added, "I have found someone who supports me no matter what I do. It feels as though I now have a lifelong cheerleader."
Eom wrote, "As I put pen to paper, it seems I have not been able to take care of all the precious people in my life. Please kindly forgive me for sharing this news in such an unpolished manner due to my inexperience." She continued, "If you are able to come and bless us, please let me know comfortably. I would like to greet you and share stories from the past together."
To her fiancé, docent Jung Woo-cheol, she left the message, "My partner, let's live well together in this rough world."
Fiancé Jung Woo-cheol also took to social media on the same day, stating, "After choosing the profession of docent, I had given up on marriage due to realistic issues. However, thanks to the wonderful people who have always supported me by my side, my work went well, and in that process, I met someone I love deeply and now stand at the starting line of a new chapter in life."
He said, "Seeing that I have found such a beautiful and thoughtful other half, I feel like I am a very fortunate person." He added, "In the second act of my life that lies ahead, I will strive to become a more mature person who deeply understands art and one individual."
Following this, he expressed his affection for his fiancée by saying, "Dear Anchor Eom, let's live happily together."
Eom, born in 1990, is a former Miss Korea Gangwon CJ Hello Vision from 2014. After working in economic broadcasting and other fields, she joined YTN in 2021. Jung, born in 1989, works as a docent and writer. He appeared on the tvN variety show "You Quiz on the Block" in 2023 and has published books such as "The Painters I Loved" and "Docent Jung Woo-cheol's Art Theater."
