Singer Choa, formerly of the group AOA, has become a topic of conversation after her recent appearance was revealed, with a changed atmosphere so striking that viewers mistook it for an artificial intelligence (AI)-generated video.
On the 16th, the owner of a hair salon in Seoul posted a short video featuring Choa on their social media service (SNS).
The video includes the caption, "This is not AI, this is the real Choa." In the footage, Choa sits in a salon chair, silently gazing straight ahead.
Choa, wearing a beige top that reaches up to her neck, has her bright blonde hair tied back naturally. Her distinct facial features and doll-like appearance drew attention.
Netizens who viewed the video responded with comments such as "She is really pretty," "Celebrities are in a league of their own," "I thought it was AI," "Is she not a doll?" and "She gives off Karina vibes."
Choa debuted as a member of AOA in 2012 and gained popularity with hit songs such as "Short Skirt," "Bob Hair," and "Heartbeat." She left the group in 2017 and paused her activities before returning to the entertainment industry in 2020. Since then, she has been communicating with fans through SNS and YouTube.
