As speculation resurfaced about producer Park Chan-hong, father of YouTuber Park Wi, having treated several actresses like honorary daughters, online users questioned why broadcaster Park Seul-gi was not included on his list of honorary daughters.
Recently, posts and videos asking, "Why didn't he make Park Seul-gi one of his honorary daughters?" have spread across various online communities and social media.
One YouTube video, titled "Park Wi's father: Why isn't Park Seul-gi on the list of honorary daughters?" highlighted that Park Chan-hong had taken actresses Park Jin-hee, Yoon So-hee and Choi Kang-hee under his wing as honorary daughters, but had not mentioned Park Seul-gi.
The video's creator argued that the omission was puzzling because Park Seul-gi also lost her father at a young age, was close to Park Chan-hong, shared the surname Park with him and attended church, yet was left off the list.
Viewers expressed surprise, posting comments such as, "Is he discriminating against her because she isn't an actress?" "Make Park Seul-gi an honorary daughter, too," and "Is it because her name doesn't contain 'Hee'?"

Previously, Park Seul-ki appeared on Park Wi's YouTube channel "WiRacle" in 2023 and revealed her close relationship with Park Wi's family, saying, "Park Wi's parents are so cool." At the time, Park Seul-ki stated, "My father passed away in 2001."
Producer Park formed a connection with Park Jin-hee through the KBS2 drama "Silk Rose" in 2001. He met Yoon So-hee through the tvN drama "Memory" in 2016, and Choi Kang-hee began her acting career after being cast as the lead in KBS's "Report on the New Generation: Adults Don't Know" through Director Park Chan-hong.
Additionally, Park Jin-hee, Yoon So-hee, and Choi Kang-hee previously appeared on Park Wi's YouTube channel "WiRacle" and confessed that they follow Director Park Chan-hong like a father. They all lost their fathers at a young age.
Choi Kang-hee said, "The director suddenly showed up at our house when our father passed away," adding, "The director told me, 'From now on, I am your dad. Call me Dad.'" At the time, Choi Kang-hee was 19 years old, and Producer Park was in his 30s.
Choi Kang-hee later learned that actress Park Jin-hee also called Director Park "Dad," saying, "I realized he is truly a father to everyone, like some kind of director or principal."

The video that sparked this controversy began with "First Chuseok at My In-Laws' House," released by Park Wi in September 2024. The video showed Yoon So-hee, who was staying at Park Wi's parents' home, greeting Park Wi and his wife Song Ji-eun while wearing pajamas.
Some netizens raised suspicions that Song Ji-eun was being treated poorly after seeing a video showing only daughter-in-law Song Ji-eun using different tableware. Subsequently, attention expanded to the "adopted daughter" relationship between Producer Park and Yoon So-hee, as they were seen sharing even the stew bowl together.
