Jo Hyun-ah of the group Urban Zakapa stated that while she typically gives at least 1 million won as a wedding gift when she attends, she does not show up if she only receives a digital invitation.
On the 23rd, a video titled "Why are you all getting married? Jo Hyun-ah in her late 30s cries for the first time during recording" was released on the YouTube channel 'Annyeonghasemyo and Urban Zakapa'.
In the video, Jo Hyun-ah discussed wedding invitations and gifts with Urban Zakapa member Kwon Soon-il, broadcaster Park Se-mi, and lawyer Yang Na-rae.
After hearing a story about receiving a digital invitation from a friend she had not contacted in 10 years, Jo Hyun-ah said, "I will read it and then ignore it. Honestly, I am not interested, so I might not even read it."
She continued, "I once received a request to sing at a wedding from someone I had not been in touch with for 10 years, and I asked, 'Why should I do that?'" She also shared her experience of being asked to perform at the wedding of an acquaintance she had lost contact with for a long time.
Regarding digital invitations, Jo Hyun-ah said, "From my perspective, there is no sincerity in them. If I receive a digital invitation, I simply do not go." She explained, "That is because I give 1 million won as a standard gift when I attend."
