SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won will appear as a lecturer on EBS's "The Great Lecture, Great Minds," sharing his philosophy on economic and social changes in the artificial intelligence (AI) era and survival strategies for young people.
SK Group announced on the 8th that Choi (Chairman) will be the first lecturer of Season 6 of "The Great Lecture," which airs on EBS 1TV from the 12th to the 16th. The lecture topic is "AI, New Capitalism, and Youth."
Having led the group for nearly 30 years, Choi (Chairman) plans to pose questions about the roles that companies, the economy, and our society should play in the AI era, based on the changes he has encountered in industries such as semiconductors, energy, and telecommunications. Contrary to expectations that social problems would be naturally resolved as the economy grows, new social issues continue to emerge. In addition, the rapid development of AI is transforming the structure of industries and jobs, making the challenges we face even more complex.
Amid these changes, Choi (Chairman) emphasizes the need for "a capitalism of new values." He will propose to the young audience how to use AI to become problem-solvers for social issues, while also presenting the "Korea-Japan Economic Cooperation" as a new option for South Korea. The lecture will explore why South Korea and Japan must create opportunities for new economic growth in an increasingly volatile global economy driven by the emergence of AI, along with the potential for such cooperation.
Furthermore, __NAME_0__ plans to answer young people's questions honestly with his own experiences and thoughts, including "How did you foresee and prepare for the coming AI era?", "How do you use AI as chairman?", and "If you could go back to being in your 20s now, what would you challenge yourself with?"
Choi (Chairman)'s lecture, "AI, New Capitalism, and Youth," which seeks to explore the new economy and society that South Korea should build together with young people in the AI era, will air on EBS 1TV at 11:45 p.m. on weekdays from the 12th to the 16th, and can be viewed again on the EBS website.
