LG Electronics announced on the 21st that it will unveil its new commercial system air conditioner, the 'LG MULTI V 7', at the Korea International Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition 'HARFKO 2026', which opened at Ilsan KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The company is also showcasing space-customized total HVAC solutions that cover everything from homes to commercial and industrial facilities, as well as data centers.
The 'LG MULTI V 7', being revealed for the first time at this exhibition, is a next-generation large-capacity system air conditioner that applies 'dual AI', which combines on-device AI and cloud AI, to achieve optimal operation. It features a new compressor that enhances heating and cooling performance and energy efficiency, as well as a new design that harmonizes with the space.
The on-device AI built into the product learns and analyzes installation environments and customer usage patterns in real time to perform optimal operation. The cloud AI continuously improves the product's performance and stability through intelligent analysis and optimization of operating strategies.
Through this, LG Electronics has realized 'AI autonomous driving', where system air conditioners actively respond to environmental changes and independently perform optimal operation. The 'AI Smart Care' function analyzes virtual operating scenarios using AI to propose operating cycles that consider both comfort and energy efficiency. It also supports 'Smart Noise Care', which manages noise according to the surrounding environment, as well as AI-based fault prediction and diagnosis features.
The LG MULTI V 7 is equipped with the 'SPIN X' compressor, which applies LG Electronics' new technology. It is characterized by enhanced heating and cooling performance, energy efficiency, and operational stability compared to existing products, thanks to a two-way oil supply structure and real-time oil condition detection technology.
At this exhibition, LG Electronics also set up an exhibition hall that recreates actual living spaces, from the outdoor unit room to multi-purpose rooms, living rooms, and bathrooms. It introduces future-oriented residential solutions that connect the heating, cooling, and hot water supply of an entire home into one, centered on heat pumps. In particular, it is showcasing heat pump-based heating, cooling, and hot water solutions for apartment complexes tailored to domestic residential environments.
The company is also exhibiting a 'Smart Integrated Air Solution' where air conditioners, air purifiers, and ventilation products are interconnected to simultaneously optimize indoor air quality and energy efficiency.
In the AI data center exhibition space, it will showcase core equipment for air-cooling solutions, such as chillers and fan wall units (FWUs). A chiller is a cooling device that produces large amounts of cold water and serves as a core HVAC facility in various fields, including large buildings, commercial facilities, factories, and data centers. The cooling water produced by the chiller is widely used for everything from air cooling to liquid cooling in data centers. A fan wall unit is equipment that stably supplies cool air inside AI data centers and efficiently dissipates heat.
It will also reveal core products for AI data center liquid cooling, such as a coolant distribution unit (CDU) and 'cold plates' that directly absorb heat from semiconductor chips. The company plans to showcase immersion cooling solutions, which are gaining attention as next-generation AI data center cooling technology, as well as immersion tanks currently under development.
Lee Jae-sung, President of LG Electronics' Energy Solutions Business Division, stated, "We will continue to expand advanced solutions based on Core Tech, our differentiated component competitiveness, in all areas where cooling solutions are needed, from homes to commercial and industrial sectors, and AI data centers."
