
Driven by a boom in the domestic stock market, Daishin Securities' second-quarter net profit surged by more than 240% compared to the same period last year.
On the 11th, Daishin Securities disclosed that its Q2 operating profit rose 165.2% year-on-year to 359.9 billion won. Revenue increased 92.9% to 2.5504 trillion won, while net income for the period grew 242.8% to 257.8 billion won. For the first half of the year, net profit exceeded 400 billion won.
A Daishin Securities official stated, "Increased transaction volume led to higher commission fees and credit lending income," adding, "Valuation gains on held securities also rose, and balanced growth was observed across all subsidiaries, including Daishin F&I and savings banks."
