Vespine Global's U.S. subsidiary has formed a strategic partnership with global transportation technology company Nello to support the cloud and AI transformation of U.S. transportation infrastructure.
Vespine Global announced on the 3rd that its U.S. subsidiary, Vespine Global US, has signed a strategic AX (artificial intelligence transformation) partnership with Nello for future mobility technology innovation.
The two companies will advance the Georgia State Department of Transportation and Toll Road Authority (SRTA) project based on this collaboration. Nello secured a 10-year long-term integrated toll service contract worth $120 million from SRTA. This is the largest-scale integrated contract ever signed by SRTA.
Nello will replace roadside equipment at four toll collection facilities, including the I-75 and I-85 highways, build new transportation technology and its own back-office systems, and provide operational support after construction.
Vespine Global US will participate as Nello's strategic service partner. Leveraging capabilities in multi-cloud managed services, cloud migration, cloud-native development, FinOps, and security, it is expected to support the modernization and expansion of Nello's core technology infrastructure.
Nello is a U.S. transportation technology company that provides AI-based electronic toll collection, vehicle automatic identification and classification, data processing, and digital payment solutions. It possesses vehicle identification technology capable of processing information for vehicles traveling at speeds over 129 km/h within 0.12 seconds. The company explains that it uses AI smart cameras to improve license plate recognition accuracy and reduce manual work.
To date, Nello has supplied 130 million vehicle terminals and manages traffic flow across 15,000 toll collection devices and 5,000 lanes. It processes over 320 million transactions annually, amounting to $1.6 billion in tolls.
