Cybersecurity firm Genians has been selected for the “2026 Republic of Korea Top Job-Creating Enterprise” program, which is overseen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The Top Job-Creating Enterprise program selects private companies that have led the way in creating quality jobs through achievements in job creation, practicing work-life balance, and improving the work environment. Certified companies receive administrative and financial support, including credit rating preferences, preferential interest rates on loans, and issuance of preferential entry/exit cards.
Genians was selected after receiving high evaluations for its continuous expansion of employment centered on youth and specialized talent, flexible work environment, and welfare systems that support employee growth.
To prioritize job opportunities for youth and vulnerable groups, Genians is expanding the hiring of young candidates at junior levels. In the recruitment process, it prioritizes ability over conditions such as educational background and gender. The company is also actively participating in supporting parental leave and maternity leave.
Genians has also strived to build a positive organizational culture that makes for a good workplace. It operates staggered work hours and remote work policies, and implements “Family Day” on the third Friday of every month, when employees leave work at 12:00 p.m.
Support for employee growth is also being expanded. The company provides individual competency enhancement training and support for obtaining professional certifications, as well as covering costs for utilizing AI services. Through labor-management councils, it reflects on-site feedback in welfare systems while promoting labor-management coexistence and improving the quality of life for employees.
Along with its selection as a Top Job-Creating Enterprise, Genians is strengthening innovation in work methods based on AI and digital technology. Currently, it is participating in the “2026 Gyeonggi Province 4.5-Day Workweek Pilot Program” promoted by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Employment Foundation, having piloted a 4.5-day workweek since August.
Participation in the 4.5-day workweek pilot program is described as going beyond simple reductions in working hours or expansions of welfare benefits. It began from a company-wide consensus that higher productivity can be achieved within the same amount of time through AI-based business automation and process restructuring.
Genians plans to actively transfer repetitive and standardized tasks to AI systems, creating a high-engagement, high-efficiency environment where employees can focus on creative and strategic core work. The company judges that an efficient work system driven by technological innovation must be established first for reduced working hours to translate into corporate growth and sustainability.
Taking its participation in the 4.5-day workweek pilot program and the acceleration of AI transformation as opportunities, Genians will also strengthen its recruitment branding. It plans to secure top talent in next-generation IT and security fields while accelerating new job creation.
Lee Dong-beom, Ji Ni-eon-seu (CEO), stated, “The selection as a Top Job-Creating Enterprise and the promotion of the 4.5-day workweek pilot program were possible results achieved through company-wide AI internalization, business process innovation, and an organizational culture that respects employees.” He added, “Going forward, based on continuous AI technological innovation, we will build a high-efficiency workplace that captures both work and performance, and accelerate growth in the global security market together with top-tier talent.”
