KT disclosed the results of its group-wide AX (AI Transformation) innovation efforts, ranging from physical AI (artificial intelligence) and AI agents to a token factory. The company aims to expand AI technologies validated in actual business and operational environments across the entire group and connect them to new business opportunities.
KT announced on the 15th that it held the "2026 AID-X Day" for two days starting from the 14th at the KT Pangyo Building in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
The event brought together various KT departments and group companies to share AX application cases across business, technology, and operations, as well as R&D (Research and Development) achievements. The exhibition was organized into four areas: Business, Innovation, Work, and Tech.
In the physical AI sector, KT showcased "Robot Skill Flywheel" technology, which allows humanoid robots to accumulate work experience and data while continuously learning new tasks. KT plans to apply this to manufacturing and logistics sites by linking it with its robot service platform, "KT RaaS Suite."
Cases of customer service and operational innovation utilizing AI agents were also introduced. Technologies providing user-tailored services were applied to the "My AI" agent in the MyKT app and the Genie TV AI agent. Technology that analyzes customer reviews and consultation content using AI reduced tasks that previously took about 8 hours to within 10 minutes.
In the AI infrastructure sector, KT unveiled its proprietary AI model "Mit:um K 3.0" and "KT-Claw," a personalized expert agent applied to "Everyone's AI." It also introduced prompt compression and model router technologies for the "Token Factory" to improve AI service operational efficiency, as well as AI guardrails.
Achievements in internal business innovation were also shared. The AI-based development system "kode," developed through collaboration between KT and KT DS, utilizes AI from software planning through development, verification, and deployment. Humans determine the design direction and final quality, while AI supports repetitive development tasks. Screen design and code generation technologies utilizing AI achieved a reduction in development period from 9 months to 6 months in actual projects.
In addition, KT showcased next-generation technologies such as maintenance and warranty agents that predict vehicle anomalies using AI, an Urban Air Mobility (UAM) control support platform, AI security diagnosis technology, and 6G and quantum security.
During the event, an "AID-X Hackathon" was held where employees solved actual business problems using AI. Thirty-two teams that advanced to the finals after preliminary rounds developed AI agents and business automation services. KT plans to consider on-site application of outstanding projects and their diffusion within the group.
KT stated its intention to accumulate the technologies and experiences shared at this event as the group's overall AX capabilities, connecting them to customer services and new businesses to accelerate its transformation into an "AX Platform Company."
Ok Kyung-hwa, Head of KT's IT Division (Vice President), said, "The key competitive advantage of AX lies not just in individual AI utilization, but in accumulating field-validated experiences as organizational capabilities and rapidly diffusing them," adding, "We will proceed with AX innovation that allows customers and employees to feel actual change."
