Kim Ji-hyun of the group Rula revealed a heartbreaking family story, stating that he had not been able to meet his mother for 20 years.
On the 16th, Kim Ji-hyun appeared on the YouTube channel 'YourHan' and spoke with Lee Sang-min and a shaman.
During the broadcast, Lee Sang-min mentioned the time of Kim Ji-hyun's mother's passing, asking, "Did you not board a plane immediately to see your mother right after she passed away?"
In response, Kim Ji-hyun recalled, "My mother was in the United States, so we only held a funeral and could not conduct a formal three-day memorial service by inviting family and relatives. We only performed the body preparation and cremation. The moment I escorted her through the security checkpoint at New York Airport, tears poured out uncontrollably. I cried so much that it was embarrassing, to the point where I had to wear glasses."
He continued, "Wasn't my mother leaving New York as ashes after 20 years? My feeling at that time was, 'This is not my tear; it feels like my mother's.'"

When Lee Sang-min asked, "Why did your mother go to the United States?", Kim Ji-hyun shared his family history, which he had not previously disclosed publicly.
Kim Ji-hyun said, "It is a story that people do not know. Our family went through difficult times. My mother sold the land my father owned and left, saying she wanted to do something with her aunt in the United States."
He continued, "My mother had another man. My father was so pitiful. My mother did everything she wanted to do. She fulfilled her parental duties. My mother pushed for everything I wanted. Even though my mother had her own life, I could not forgive that," as he shed tears.

He said, "We had no contact for over 10 years, and I could not find her either. My mother passed away without seeing my face."
Kim Ji-hyun also recalled the moment he received news of his mother's death. He shared, "I had a dream on the plane where I saw a single white flower. As soon as I got off the plane and turned on my phone, my husband was crying and said, 'Your mother-in-law has passed away.'"
He continued, "I have not seen my mother even once in 20 years," and confessed, "I thought, 'Was my mother ashamed to see my face?' I also felt a bit resentful that she left without seeing my face even once."
