Actors Lee Seo-jin (55) and Ha Ji-won (48, real name Jeon Hae-rim), who starred together in the 2003 MBC drama 'Damo,' met again for the first time in 23 years after the series ended.
In a preview video of Ha Ji-won's episode released on the broadcast of SBS variety show 'Will You Do Anything? - Secretary Jin' aired on the 23rd, Lee Seo-jin and Ha Ji-won were seen meeting at Incheon International Airport ahead of a business trip to Singapore. The two greeted each other warmly with a hug.
Ha Ji-won shared her feelings about the reunion, saying, "It feels like a dream to be doing something together while filming with (Lee) Seo-jin-oppa." Lee Seo-jin added, "This is the first time we've appeared on a broadcast together since ('Damo'). It's the first time since then that we've been in the same camera angle." Kim Gwang-gyu also expressed his anticipation, saying, "I'm going to reshoot 'Damo' today."
The pleasant reunion was short-lived as Lee Seo-jin cracked a joke, saying, "Ji-won is much prettier these days. She wasn't this pretty back then." In Singapore, he teased Ha Ji-won, who had dressed up elaborately, by asking, "Who are you?" while showing a dependable side by buying her sunglasses.
The banter between the two continued even during their meal. When Lee Seo-jin remarked, "Compared to before, Ji-won's eyes have become very bright and sparkling. She used to walk around with her eyes half-closed," Ha Ji-won went over to Lee Seo-jin's seat across from her to retaliate.
When Ha Ji-won, a regular F1 fan, asked for the chance to meet her favorite driver, Max Verstappen, Lee Seo-jin responded, "Even if it means getting hit by a car, I'll try," evoking a sense of moving dedication.
Following a scene where Lee Seo-jin asks an F1 official in English, "She (Ha Ji-won) wants to meet the F1 drivers, is that possible?" came a scene where Ha Ji-won says, "I think everything will be unforgettable," heightening curiosity about the next episode.
