CL, a member of the group 2NE1, is in discussions about signing an exclusive contract with The Black Label, led by producer Teddy.
On the 29th, The Black Label stated, "We are discussing an exclusive contract with CL."
CL debuted as the leader of the YG Entertainment-affiliated group 2NE1 in 2009 and gained popularity with numerous hit songs such as "Fire," "I Am the Best," and "Come Back Home." She also expanded her activities as a solo artist, entering the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States with "Lifted," released in 2016.
Subsequently, CL ended her exclusive contract with YG Entertainment in 2019 and embarked on an independent career. The following year, she established the one-person agency Verycherry and continued her activities, releasing her first full-length album "Alpha" in 2021 to unfold her own musical world as a solo artist.
The Black Label is a music label founded by Teddy, a producer from YG Entertainment, in 2016. As Teddy worked on 2NE1's representative tracks, the finalization of an exclusive contract is expected to mark a special reunion.
The Black Label's roster includes BIGBANG's Taeyang, Rosé, Jeon So-mi, Miya O, and All Day Project, among others.
