A woman's story of cursing her mother-in-law because her in-laws did not provide a home was broadcast on air.
On the episode of JTBC's 'Divorce Reflection Camp' aired last month, a couple known as the "Coin Couple," who faced a crisis after four years of marriage, appeared.
According to the broadcast, the wife expressed strong dissatisfaction, claiming her in-laws refused to buy her a home. Before their marriage, her in-laws had promised, "If you delay your wedding by five years, we will sell our land and give you an apartment," but she argued that they failed to purchase a home even after the agreed-upon time passed.
The husband held a different view. Since he rejected his parents' proposal and married his wife immediately, he stated that his in-laws had no obligation to buy them an apartment. In response, the wife explained, "By then, we were already living together. I got married because I thought if we broke up while cohabiting, only women would suffer."
The wife also sent a long text message filled with profanity to her mother-in-law. The messages revealed on the broadcast included: "Who are you to dislike me?", "XXX, you're f***ing", "Just give us a 24-pyeong apartment and shut up," "If we had really gotten married five years later, how were you planning to provide a house? Even now, your words keep changing," "Pretend you never had a son for the rest of your life; it's disgusting," and "Even if we die, do not come to our funeral."

MC Seo Jang-hoon, upon reading the messages, pointed out, "Who could understand that? Do you really think what you said was right?" He added, "Would it be acceptable if your husband did the same thing to his mother-in-law?" However, the wife replied, "I got angry because they tried to pressure me with false hope, but I believe I spoke the truth. Still, my husband should not do that to my mother."
The wife claimed that all conflicts stemmed from her husband. She alleged that he took out high-interest loans without her knowledge and also borrowed money in her mother's name. It was reported that the husband even lied to his mother-in-law, saying he would borrow only 10 million won when he actually borrowed 60 million won.
The husband reportedly invested all the borrowed money in virtual currencies and lost it all. The wife revealed, "I only found out about this fact a month ago. After calculating, I discovered that 210 million won was lost. This amount includes the 23rd million won in lease extension funds I handed over after being persuaded by my husband, as well as money borrowed under my name." She further insisted that her in-laws should be responsible for the debt incurred due to her husband's poor investment decisions.
Upon hearing the story, Seo Jang-hoon pointed out, "You must clearly acknowledge that you are an accomplice. Who gave you that money? Did you not borrow more loans in between and give it again? If you had said, 'If you keep investing in coins, I won't live with you,' would the debt have reached 210 million won?"
He continued, "Of course, emotionally, I fully understand. Even I might have wanted to curse. However, there is a certain degree of (your own) responsibility for causing such a scene and cursing. In my view, about 30-40% of the blame lies with you."
