Actor Lee Dong-geon's Jeju cafe, which he operated directly and revealed its startup process through a broadcast, has disappeared from its original location about 1 year and 3 months after opening.
According to NEWSIS on the 5th, the cafe 'Oasis80,' opened by Lee Dong-geon in Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, last April, ceased operations in July, and it has been confirmed that another brand's store is now occupying the space.
Oasis80 announced via its official SNS (social media) in July that "we will be taking time for reorganization as of July 9" and expressed sincere gratitude: "We truly appreciate your support and visits to Oasis80." However, it did not disclose specific future plans such as the duration of the reorganization period, the reopening date, or whether it would relocate.
Currently, a flagship store of a fashion brand has taken over the space where Oasis80 was previously operated.
Lee Dong-geon began operating the cafe directly after revealing the preparation process for its opening through SBS variety show 'We Are Not Alone.' In particular, it attracted attention by featuring 'sand coffee,' which extracts coffee using high-temperature sand, as its signature menu. A line of waiting customers formed from the first day of opening, and a pop-up store was later opened in Seoul's Seongsu-dong.
Although there has been no official announcement of closure, with another store now occupying the original location, attention is focused on whether it will reopen in the future.
