'Queen of Figure Skating' Kim Yuna has denied pregnancy rumors that recently surfaced on online communities.
"It is not true," said All That Sports, Kim Yuna's agency, in response to the pregnancy rumors on the 8th.
"Kim Yuna attended a Dior Beauty event held at Seoul Jamsil Lotte Avenue on the 7th. On that day, she appeared at the event wearing a black sleeveless dress.
"After photos and videos from the event were released, some netizens speculated about the possibility of pregnancy based on Kim Yuna's appearance, spreading pregnancy rumors primarily across online communities.
"Husband Go Woo-rim also conveyed his position regarding the pregnancy rumors, stating, 'We have no information on this.'
"As both sides stated that the rumors were false, netizens continued to respond by pointing out the baseless nature of the pregnancy claims.
"Some said, 'If someone gains a little weight, does that mean they're pregnant? Isn't that sexual harassment?' Others remarked, 'I thought she looked beautiful from the photos, so the pregnancy rumors were absurd,' and 'Let's stay quiet until the parties involved make an official statement.'
"Kim Yuna married Go Woo-rim, a member of the group Forestella, in October 2022.
"In a YouTube video released last January, Kim Yuna revealed that she has hardly exercised since retiring from her athletic career after the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
"At the time, Kim Yuna said, 'I now think I should exercise for my health, but my body doesn't respond well,' and added, 'Since what I do is so visible, I have no choice but to manage my appearance.'
"She further added, 'I minimize exercise and control my diet. I am not prone to gaining weight.'
