Go Young-wook, formerly of the group Rolla, expressed displeasure toward writer So Jae-won, who strongly criticized him, stating, "I may consider taking legal action."

He continued, saying it is "a matter worth reviewing legally," and expressed his frustration by adding, "I am simply posting my thoughts on X." He then pointed out to writer So Jae-won, "Do you truly know me? If you are going to write such things about me, shouldn't you verify the facts?"
In another post, he said, "You are continuing to inflict secondary harm on me, my family, and those who sincerely support me even now," and criticized So by asking, "Are you a judge? I hope you deeply regret this and understand shame and disgrace."
Earlier, writer So Jae-won posted a message targeting Go Young-wook on his Instagram, stating, "There is absolutely no person among artists currently active in the Republic of Korea who has committed such cruel acts as you have."
He further pressed, asking, "Do you not feel any shame or guilt toward victims who live with terrible memories of fear?" and added a line from his own work: "The gates of heaven will naturally be closed to you, and even the gates of hell will not open for you."
Go Young-wook was sentenced to two years and six months in prison in 2013 on charges of committing sexual crimes against minors. He was also ordered to have his personal information publicly disclosed for five years and to wear an electronic tracking device for three years.
