Singer Chung Ha, 30, was transported to the emergency room due to health concerns and will not be able to perform on stage at the previously planned university festival.
Her agency, More Vision, said on Friday via official social networking services: "Chung Ha was rushed to the emergency room early this morning due to health issues and is currently receiving treatment."
The statement reads: "As a result, she will not be able to appear on stage at Kyonggi University's Seoul Campus Guryongje Festival as scheduled. We sincerely apologize to Kyonggi University officials and students who were looking forward to the performance for the sudden news causing concern and inconvenience."
The agency added: "We will do our utmost to ensure Chung Ha recovers her health as soon as possible."
Kyonggi University's student council also said: "We sincerely apologize to fellow students who were waiting for the performance for delivering such sudden news," while expressing hopes for Chung Ha's quick recovery. The scheduled performers for the event include singers Kyung Seo-yeji and Heize.
Chung Ha debuted as a member of the group I.O.I, formed through Mnet's 'Produce 101' in 2016, and has since been active as a solo artist. She signed an exclusive contract with More Vision in October 2023 and is set to have her contract expire on the 21st.
