Winter (25, real name Kim Min-jung) of the group aespa was diagnosed with shingles and will not attend a concert in Dallas, U.S.
Her agency, SM Entertainment, announced on the 30th via the fan communication platform Weverse that "Winter showed signs of poor physical condition ahead of her recent concert in Miami, U.S., but participated in the performance due to her determination to stand on stage with her members."
However, as her condition did not improve even after the concert, she visited a hospital for detailed examinations and was subsequently diagnosed with shingles.
Winter expressed her intention to participate in the Dallas concert as well and monitored her recovery status until just before the performance, but medical staff recommended that she needed sufficient rest. As a result, after discussions with her agency, she decided not to attend the Dallas concert held on the 29th (local time) and instead take a rest.
The agency stated, "Winter is also very disappointed about being unable to join this concert," adding, "We will do our best so that Winter can recover her health and meet fans again."
aespa is currently on its fourth world tour, 'SYNK : aeXIS LINE,' which spans 25 regions across North America, South America, and Europe.
