"For my sister"... Kim Woo-bin was seen carrying a "fan's gift" in his car

The story of how actor Kim Woo-bin personally prepared a gift for a fan who had once gifted him perfume has once again drawn public interest.

On the 6th, Fan A posted a video on their Instagram with the caption, "I received such a huge gift from Woo-bin."

The video captured Kim Woo-bin signing autographs for fans on his way home from work. While signing, Kim Woo-bin told Fan A, "I have a gift I bought to give you," and headed toward his vehicle.

Pulling a large paper bag out of the trunk, Kim Woo-bin said, "Thanks to you, I got to shoot an ad, so I was very grateful and wanted to give it to you." He added, "I kept wondering when we would meet, so I just kept it in my car."

The bag contained products from Acqua di Parma, the perfume brand for which Kim Woo-bin serves as a promotional ambassador. Concerned that Fan A might feel uncomfortable receiving a gift alone, Kim Woo-bin had also prepared gifts for the people around her.

He stated, "I wanted to give it to you and others too," emphasizing that he had purchased the items himself by saying, "It wasn't something I received; I bought it. Don't misunderstand." Fan A also revealed the contents showing a record of Kim Woo-bin purchasing the products at a department store.

The two first connected at a fan signing event last year. At the time, Fan A asked Kim Woo-bin, "If you were to gift me perfume, what scent do you think would suit me?"

In response, Kim Woo-bin called over his manager to bring the perfume he was using and handed it directly to Fan A. Although Fan A declined, saying she had intended to buy a suitable scent herself, Kim Woo-bin insisted, "I think it will suit you. Take it," and gave it to her as a gift.

The video of this moment went viral on YouTube and online communities, after which Kim Woo-bin was selected as the promotional ambassador for that perfume brand.

Upon meeting Fan A again this time, Kim Woo-bin expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thanks to you, I got to do an ad. I wanted to give it to you sooner but we just met now. I should have given it to you long ago."

Netizens reacted with comments such as, "I saw the old video too, and I'm moved that he prepared another gift," "The way he speaks is warm," and "It's cool that he didn't forget his gratitude toward his fan."

Meanwhile, Kim Woo-bin married actress Shin Min-a last December after a decade-long public relationship. The couple donated a total of 300 million won to the Hanlim Vision Foundation, Seoul Asan Hospital, and Good Friends on their wedding day.

Kim Woo-bin is set to appear in tvN's new drama "Gift," scheduled for release in the second half of this year.
