Actress Sa Mi-ja shared a wedding photograph that offers a glimpse of her exceptional beauty in her youth.
On the 9th, a video titled "Yoon Yu-sun, the daughter-in-law candidate Sa Mi-ja truly coveted (?)" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Omi-ja Malgo Sami-ja" (Not Omi-ja, but Sa Mi-ja).
In the video, Sa Mi-ja prepared jeon (Korean pancakes) with her husband Kim Gwan-su for a junior colleague who would visit them on the occasion of Chuseok (the Korean Thanksgiving). She said, "If there is food left over and my junior says 'this is delicious,' can't we just pack some up for them?" and prepared more food than usual.
The couple's playful banter also brought laughter. When Sa Mi-ja said, "There are many cameras here, so don't embarrass me. I will get scolded later," Kim Gwan-su retorted, "If I were to embarrass you, would you be the type to wilt?"
The junior who visited their home that day was actress Yoon Yu-sun. In response to Yoon's question about how long they had been married, Sa Mi-ja answered, "63 years." It is known that Sa Mi-ja was 21 and Kim Gwan-su was 24 when they got married. Subsequently revealed wedding photos showed Sa Mi-ja drawing attention with her distinct facial features and elegant demeanor.
Sa Mi-ja's beauty was also famous among her peers. Jeon Won-ju recalled on TV Chosun's "Perfect Life" in 2021, saying, "Sa Mi-ja was so beautiful when she was young. She was captivating men back then."
He revealed that he had learned the secret of Sa Mi-ja passing a voice actor audition while pretending to be single and secretly breastfeeding her child in a broadcasting station restroom. He said they had agreed to look the other way in exchange for a double portion of jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce), but ultimately he told his friends, causing the rumor to spread, which led to a rift between the two. Jeon Won-ju reflected, saying, "It happened because I was jealous of Sa Mi-ja's beautiful appearance."
Sa Mi-ja, who began acting in 1966, is married to Kim Gwan-su and has two sons and one daughter.
