Actress Han Ga-in (44, real name Kim Hyun-ju) revealed the accessories she has collected over more than 20 years, emphasizing that they are products she purchased directly without any sponsorship or advertising.
On the 15th, a video introducing the accessories she had been collecting was released on Han Ga-in's YouTube channel 'Free Woman Han Ga-in'.
In the video, Han Ga-in stated, "I bought these with my own money, and there is no PPL (product placement) in here," adding, "They are all things I have directly purchased and collected over time."
She continued, "If I go through a stylist, they sometimes give me a 10 to 20 percent discount, but I visited stores without discounts or ordered directly online," explaining, "Brand representatives probably don't even know that I am wearing their products."
Han Ga-in said she also frequently wears products from domestic designer brands at reasonable price ranges, in addition to luxury items.
She said, "Many people assume that whatever I wear is almost certainly a luxury item, so there are cases where they ask me thinking it is an extremely expensive product," adding, "These days, even if it is not a luxury brand, there are many good products at reasonable prices among Korean designer brands, so I want to focus on introducing such products."
She revealed that she mainly chooses 14K products when purchasing gold accessories. Han Ga-in explained the reason, saying, "It is cheaper than 18K and has less yellow tint, so it seems to make me look younger when worn."
Previously, Han Ga-in had been embroiled in suspicions of hidden advertising over an albumin product she introduced on YouTube.
The YouTube channel 'Death Fox TV' raised suspicions of hidden advertising, stating that portal site search volume for the product surged after Han Ga-in introduced it. In response, when Han Ga-in directly revealed her purchase records to refute the suspicions, Death Fox TV made the related video private and apologized.
