Comedian Sung Hyun-ju revealed that she has continued to make donations in the name of her son, whom she lost earlier.
On the 16th, Sung Hyun-ju wrote on her Instagram, "Somewhere on the donor display board at Seoul National University Children's Hospital, Seo-hoo's name is shining brightly."
Sung Hyun-ju announced that her book, "Your Well-being," has entered its 13th reprint run, and stated that the royalties from the book will be donated to Seoul National University Children's Hospital in the name of her son, Seo-hoo, who passed away at the age of 8.
"Your Well-being" is an essay compiling records of the 1,000 days Sung Hyun-ju spent with her son at the hospital. It was published in December 2022. She is donating all royalties to the children's hospital.
Sung Hyun-ju added, "I hope that unexpected kindness will suddenly find someone who is going through a long tunnel with no end in sight. Just like I did once upon a time," and concluded, "May everyone have a safe day. Please do."
The photos released together featured the book "Your Well-being" and her son, Seo-hoo. The image of Seo-hoo smiling brightly conveyed Sung Hyun-ju's deep affection for her son, evoking a sense of emotional heaviness.
Sung Hyun-ju married in 2011 and welcomed her first son, Seo-hoo, in 2014, but lost him in 2020. She gave birth to her daughter, Jik-yang, last September, five years after the loss of her son.
