Stephanie, 39, a member of K-pop group The Grace, has opened up about her relationship with former Major League Baseball player Brady Anderson, 62.
A video featuring Stephanie as a guest was uploaded to comedian Tak Jae-hoon's YouTube channel on Tuesday.
In the video, Stephanie said Anderson was a hitter for the Baltimore Orioles. "We first met in 2013 and started dating during the COVID-19 pandemic. I couldn't return to Korea because of the pandemic, so we naturally ended up dating," she said.
She also revealed that Anderson had never consumed alcohol or smoked in his life.
"He said he had never touched alcohol or cigarettes. He can drink, but he chooses not to. He keeps working out, so his body is incredibly toned. He barely wears clothes at home. He usually has a towel on," she said, drawing attention.
When Tak asked whether dating a foreign man made it difficult to return to Korean men because foreign men were so sweet and attentive, Stephanie disagreed.
"No, Korean men are sweeter," she said. "They have a cute side even as they get older."
Asked whether she had ever felt a generation gap with Anderson, who is 23 years older than her, Stephanie said there was no such issue because he was American.
"Isn't it people in East Asia who tend to be obsessed with age? My boyfriend even asked why people in Korea bring up age in every interview. In the United States, talking about someone's age is considered rude," she said.
Stephanie debuted in April 2005 as a member of The Grace and has since worked as a solo singer and musical theater actress. She currently runs K-pop and ballet academies. Anderson works as a hitting coach for the Los Angeles Angels.
