The sight of fifth-year girl group ICHILLIN' expressing disappointment after finding that not many citizens recognized them while attempting to gauge their public awareness in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, was revealed.
ICHILLIN' released a video on Saturday on the YouTube channel 'Hada Hada Unit Gachi Handa,' in which they checked their recognition among citizens on the streets of Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The channel was established for ICHILLIN' to showcase their own content, including unit activities.
In the video, member Jooni expressed anticipation, saying, "We've been filming a lot of Reels lately, right? Everyone who hangs out in Seongsu is from the MZ generation. They should be able to recognize us since we film so many Reels, right?"
Subsequently, the members walking down the street asked passing citizens, "Do you happen to know us?" When one citizen replied that they did, the members asked if they had seen their Reels and gifted them an album.
However, the situation was not smooth afterward. Subtitles reading 'Wandering in Seongsu for 20 minutes now' and 'Please recognize us' appeared in the video. Jooni also directly promoted the group by saying, "Hello. We are ICHILLIN'. Please let us know if you need anything."
Afterward, they took a break on one side and discussed the current situation. Lee Ji said, "Everyone seems to be filming us out of curiosity, but I think they don't know who we are."
In response, Jooni guessed the citizens' reactions, saying, "I think they're thinking, 'They look like idols? But who are they? Ah, it's not IVE, and it's not Kids either, is it ICHILLIN'? What an idol group.'"
The production team asked, "It has only been about a month and a half since we started our YouTube activities, so it hasn't been that long. Since our view count hasn't exploded yet, do you have any expectations or such?"
Jooni replied, "I hope we can come back next time by holding a pop-up event." Lee Ji expressed her wish, saying, "Our faces become the brand muses and are hung up big on the front door, and people come to see that."
When Yeoju said, "It would be nice if it were one year from now," Jooni said, "Three months from now," and Lee Ji expressed anticipation by saying, "You never know what will happen with people, guys."
