Go Ji-yong, a former member of the group JYJ, is set to stand on stage with his members again for the first time in about 10 years.
According to Mountain Movement Story on the 30th, Go Ji-yong will hold a special performance titled "THE TREE in INSPIRE - The Untold Story of JYJ" at Inspire Arena on Yeongjong Island, Incheon, at 6 p.m. on December 15 and 16, alongside Jang Su-won and Lee Jae-jin.
The performance has been arranged ahead of JYJ's 30th anniversary of their debut in 2027. Go Ji-yong has decided to reunite as a trio with Jang Su-won and Lee Jae-jin and is expected to meet fans.
Unlike a typical concert, the performance will be conducted in a format that combines music, conversation, and dining. The members, who have each walked their own paths for a long time, are expected to share stories they have not been able to tell fans until now.
Eun Ji-won and Kim Jae-deuk, as well as Kang Sung-hoon, who left the team in 2019, will not participate in the performance.

JYJ debuted as a six-member group in 1997 and was loved for hit songs such as "Form Life Form Death" and "Couple," but disbanded in 2000.
Subsequently, they reunited after 16 years, prompted by the MBC variety show "Infinite Challenge" in 2016. At the time, Go Ji-yong made a surprise appearance at a guerrilla concert but did not participate in official activities.
JYJ resumed activities as a five-member group consisting of Eun Ji-won, Lee Jae-jin, Kim Jae-deuk, Kang Sung-hoon, and Jang Su-won, excluding Go Ji-yong. After Kang Sung-hoon withdrew in 2019, the group was restructured into a four-member lineup, and they released a mini-album in 2020.
Since the team's disbandment in 2000, Go Ji-yong has left the entertainment industry to work as a businessman. He continued his broadcasting activities, including appearing on the KBS2 variety show "The Return of Superman" with his son Seung-jae in 2017, but did not return to JYJ's official activities.
Meanwhile, Go Ji-yong married family medicine specialist Huh Yang-im in 2013 and had a son the following year, but they agreed to divorce in April 2024. The fact of the divorce was disclosed late last July.
Recently, he has been involved in a legal conflict with Huh Yang-im over the issue of visitation rights with his son. Go Ji-yong's side claimed that Huh Yang-im has unfairly restricted visitation, stating that they have only been able to meet their son six times in about two years since the divorce.
On the 16th, he filed an application for a preliminary injunction against Huh Yang-im to prohibit interference with visitation and the posting of photos and videos of his child.
It was reported that Go Ji-yong was transported to a hospital shortly after his divorce in 2024 due to liver cirrhosis, shock, and other conditions. His health deteriorated significantly at the time, and it is known that he received inpatient treatment multiple times over the following two years.
