Singer and painter Solbi revealed behind-the-scenes details of her romance with actor Lee Kyu-han.
Through the podcast "Song Eun-i and Kim Suk's Secret Treasure," released on the 28th, Solbi disclosed that she had cut off contact with her fiancé-to-be, Lee Kyu-han, for a while immediately after appearing on the past variety show "Omanchu (Pursuit of Long-Ago Meetings)."
On the broadcast, Solbi stated that although she ultimately chose Lee, he did not choose her. Regarding this, Solbi said at the time that she called Lee "a loser," explaining that the remark meant, "It seems like you definitely have feelings for me, so why didn't you choose me?"
Solbi added that she cut off contact with Lee Kyu-han because her pride was hurt by their diverging choices.
However, after the broadcast, Lee sent Solbi different varieties of apples as gifts each season to express his feelings of regret.
Solbi said, "Through this process, I started talking with him," adding, "I asked him if he ran an apple orchard, and he told me that he had sent the apples with a heart of apology because he felt sorry for not choosing her in the final selection."
She continued, "I ate the apples deliciously, and my heart opened up a bit. That remark was so witty," and added, "Around the time I was trying to get closer to him, he paid the tuition himself and enrolled in the painting class I teach. I was moved at that moment."
Solbi said, "I have always wanted to marry because I want to have children," and expressed her affection for Lee by stating, "When I met someone who respects and supports what I do, and is on my side, I wanted to get married."
Meanwhile, Solbi and Lee drew significant attention by announcing their marriage on the 15th without any prior dating rumors. The couple plans to hold their wedding in April next year.
After the marriage announcement, Lee appeared on Solbi's YouTube channel and said, "I did not expect our marriage news to become such a hot topic," adding, "From now on, we will prepare for the wedding beautifully, without fighting, while showing consideration for Solbi."
