Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon expressed concern for Ji Yeon-su, who is raising her son alone after her divorce, and advised her to "not date any men from now on."
On the 2nd, a video titled "Ji Yeon-su steals Hong Seok-cheon's gemstone at their first meeting 18 years ago" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Ji Yeon-su's Yeonsu-ropeuda."
In the video, Ji Yeon-su warmly welcomed Hong Seok-cheon, whom she had not seen for seven years.
Hong Seok-cheon carefully asked, "You're not dating any men now, are you?" eliciting laughter.
Ji Yeon-su replied, "I have no man." Upon hearing this, Hong Seok-cheon said, "Don't date them. Just hang out with gay guys. What's the point of a man? You should play it safe."
Hong Seok-cheon recalled that during their past appearances on broadcast together, Ji Yeon-su always looked exhausted and tired, and seemed to have many worries.
He said, "Always exhausted, tired, and worried—like the feeling of a head of household. It was like the feeling of a young female head of household." He added, "But now you've become even brighter and prettier, as if your face has been ironed smooth."
When Ji Yeon-su asked, "If I get a boyfriend in the future, will you be okay with that?" Hong Seok-cheon urged, "Please, seriously. Listen to your older brother. Don't make judgments on your own."
Ji Yeon-su married Eli in 2014 and had a son, Min-soo, but announced her divorce in 2020.
