Actor Ahn Jae-hyun was caught off guard by Choo Sung-hoon's sudden question about marriage and directly revealed his divorce.
On the episode aired on the 3rd, SBS Plus and MBN's "The Travel Method of a Gentleman in Manado," Choo Sung-hoon, Kim Jong-kook, and Ahn Jae-hyun set off on a trip to Manado, Indonesia.
During the broadcast, while they were eating, Choo Sung-hoon looked for wet wipes. Seeing this, Ahn Jae-hyun said, "Having them makes me feel more at ease," and took out wet wipes from his bag to hand them over.
Moved by Ahn Jae-hyun's considerate gesture, Choo Sung-hoon innocently asked, "Are you married?" The unexpected question instantly froze the atmosphere on set.
Ahn Jae-hyun also appeared flustered, suddenly changing the subject with remarks like, "Is the coconut not ready yet?" before abruptly standing up from his seat in a panic. Watching this, Kim Jong-kook mediated the situation by saying, "Jae-hyun, that's understandable. This older brother just doesn't know."
However, Choo Sung-hoon still failed to grasp the atmosphere and asked, "Why?" looking bewildered. Eventually, Ahn Jae-hyun directly disclosed his divorce by stating, "I have been there once."
Only then did Choo Sung-hoon understand the situation, exclaiming in surprise, "Ah, you've been there?" He then calmly responded, "That can happen."
In response, Kim Jong-kook remarked, "It wasn't a quiet trip," referring to Ahn Jae-hyun's divorce process. As the conversation continued, Ahn Jae-hyun repeatedly stood up from his seat, displaying an uneasy demeanor that drew laughter.
Choo Sung-hoon said, "Did you have a good time? Then it's fine. I'm envious," once again turning the scene into a sea of laughter. In response, Ahn Jae-hyun attempted an awkward topic change by saying, "It's delicious, really delicious. It is summer after all."
When Choo Sung-hoon expressed regret for not knowing more, saying, "There are many things I don't know," Ahn Jae-hyun replied cheerfully, "This is how we get to know each other again. It's because I didn't introduce myself properly. That is my fault."
Ahn Jae-hyun married actress Koo Hye-sun in 2016 but divorced in 2020.
