Samsung has once again delivered encouragement gifts to its locally dispatched employees and their families in the Middle East. The initiative aims to boost morale among employees who are maintaining operations at business sites amid ongoing instability caused by the Middle East war and other factors.
On Friday, Samsung Group said that it had delivered encouragement gifts to affiliated company employees dispatched to the Middle East region and their families residing there. The recipients include 730 affiliated company employees dispatched to nine Middle Eastern countries—Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, Iraq, Israel, Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain—as well as their families living locally or in South Korea.
Samsung provided locally dispatched employees with gift certificates worth between 3 million and 5 million won, usable within the region. For family members residing in South Korea, it delivered Onnuri gift certificates worth between 2 million and 3 million won, which can be used at traditional markets and local small business stores.
In a letter of gratitude sent along with the gifts, Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, said, "Your passion and dedication in faithfully fulfilling your duties despite difficult conditions serve as a great inspiration to us all." He added, "We are deeply grateful for the sense of responsibility and effort you demonstrate in your respective roles." He further emphasized, "The company always prioritizes your safety and health above all else."
In March, Samsung also delivered encouragement gifts and letters of gratitude to approximately 500 employees and their families working in three Middle Eastern countries—UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia—following a proposal by Lee.
Samsung is pursuing expanded cooperation and the development of future businesses in the Middle East region, focusing on energy plants such as AI data centers and nuclear power plants, as well as mobile and home appliance operations.
