LS Eco Energy achieved its highest-ever results for the third quarter, driven by expanded exports to Europe and North America and a surge in demand for bus ducts. The company has already surpassed its full-year performance from last year within just three quarters this year and plans to sustain its growth momentum through investments in bus ducts for data centers and new rare earth metal businesses.
LS Eco Energy announced on the 20th that its consolidated revenue for the third quarter of this year was provisionally recorded at 351.5 billion won, with an operating profit of 22.2 billion won. Revenue increased by 51% and operating profit rose by 50.2% compared to the same period last year. Cumulative revenue (987.3 billion won) and operating profit (67.5 billion won) for the first three quarters have already exceeded last year’s full-year results (revenue of 960.1 billion won, operating profit of 66.8 billion won).
The growth in performance is attributed to increased exports of power cables and bus ducts to Europe and North America, resulting from expanded global grid investments and the rise in artificial intelligence data centers (AIDCs). In particular, as global tech giants have expanded their data center investments centered on Malaysia and Indonesia, bus duct revenue surged two to three times compared to the same period last year.
LS Eco Energy is building high-capacity bus duct production facilities at its Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City production subsidiary (LSCV) and plans to commence operations in Yangsan in the second half of 2027. Additionally, to advance its new growth engine in rare earth metals, the company broke ground on a samarium metal production facility for defense use at LSCV last month and is set to begin operations within this year.
Lee Sang-ho, CEO of LS Eco Energy, stated, “With expanded exports to Europe and North America combined with new AIDC and rare earth businesses, the growth trend in revenue and operating profit will continue.”
