At its Q3 2026 earnings announcement on the 28th, SK Hynix stated that "HBM4 yields are quite stable," adding that "yields have exceeded plans, leading to an upward revision of targets."
The company explained that "customer demand for HBM remains strong, with current requested volumes exceeding available supply by more than two times," noting this as evidence of continued high customer preference for the product's competitiveness. It further added that "even considering the possibility of adjusting the number of HBM stacking layers, the medium- to long-term outlook for HBM demand remains unchanged."
The company stated that "in addition to an increased share of HBM4 and price hikes next year, yields and cost competitiveness in Yangsan will also improve further," adding that it expects "HBM revenue and profit to grow significantly compared to this year, with profitability also improving meaningfully."
