Homeplus Express, a supermarket chain acquired by NS Home Shopping, a subsidiary of Haram Group, from Homeplus in May this year, has established itself in the market with sales more than doubling compared to before within 100 days of normal operations. It is assessed that the strategy of resolving concerns over delayed payment for goods, thereby normalizing product supply, and strengthening fresh food nearby rapid delivery (quick commerce) services was effective.
According to Homeplus Express on the 1st, as a result of the new operator focusing on stabilizing product supply and store operations from June 23, both customer numbers and sales increased significantly compared to before.
Comparing operating results from May 23 to June 22, immediately after the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) contract, with those from July 21 to September 24, when product supply was normalized, daily average sales increased by 171.6%, customer count by 118.6%, and average transaction value by 24.2%. During the same period, online sales increased by 184.3% and order volume by 157.4%.
In the final stages of Homeplus's operation period, many stores had empty shelves due to delayed payments, but the company explained that it focused on normalizing product supply over the following month, securing a number of products (SKUs) at a level comparable to competitors in each store.
As of the end of September, Homeplus Express has 283 stores, placing it third in the industry behind GS The Fresh (603 stores) and Lotte Super (311 stores). The company is also considering opening new stores in key commercial areas in the metropolitan area and local regions after solidifying its foundation through normalizing the management of existing stores.
Homeplus Express's sales last year are known to be approximately 1 trillion won. Considering online mall sales and revenue growth from operational normalization, a full-fledged performance turnaround is expected starting next year. If Haram Group's strengths in meat supply chains, such as chicken, and its know-how in operating fresh foods combine with the nearby delivery competitiveness of Homeplus Express stores located in key commercial areas in the metropolitan area, its presence in the supermarket chain industry is expected to grow.
__NAME_1__, President of Homeplus Express, stated, "In line with the food-centric values and direction pursued by Haram Group, we will build a nearby grocery platform that connects production areas and customers most closely, providing practical value in daily shopping."

Haram Group has also promised to provide stable employment for the 2,200 employees whose company changed due to the acquisition of Homeplus Express, focusing on organizational stability through continuous communication.
To mark 100 days since its new beginning, Homeplus Express is giving customers baekilttong (rice cakes for a 100-day celebration) at all stores nationwide today (first-come, first-served, limited to 50 people). The online mall will provide discount coupons to 100 people daily until the 4th. Stores nationwide are selling fresh foods and major grocery items at special prices with discounts of up to 50%.
Haram Group will operate a Homeplus Express brand pop-up store at the '2026 NS Food Festa' held from the 16th to the 17th at Haram First Kitchen in Iksan, North Jeolla Province. At the group's largest annual event, it will introduce Homeplus Express, which has become a new subsidiary, to customers and present its brand competitiveness and growth vision.
