In the KOSPI market (based on integration between Korea Exchange and NextTrade), foreign investors are net selling 3 trillion 348 billion won. Retail investors and institutional investors are net buying 1 trillion 298 billion won and 774.3 billion won, respectively.
Among KOSPI sectors, the electrical and electronics sector is down by about 1%. IT (information technology), telecommunications, retail, and manufacturing are roughly flat. In contrast, construction is up strongly by around 8%. Machinery and equipment are rising by about 5%, while paper and wood, electricity and gas, and metals are up more than 2%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks in the KOSPI, Samsung Electronics is roughly flat, and SK Hynix has narrowed its decline to around 1%. SK Square and LG Energy Solution are down by about 3%. Doosan Enerbility is surging by nearly 9%. Samsung Electronics' preferred shares are up by about 2%, and Shinhan Financial Group is rising by about 3%.
The KOSDAQ is up 6.04 points (0.74%) from the previous trading day at 819.37. The KOSDAQ, which opened lower today, turned positive in the afternoon.
In the KOSDAQ market, retail investors and foreign investors are net buying 17.3 billion won and 29.9 billion won, respectively. Institutional investors are net selling 35.8 billion won.
Among KOSDAQ sectors, non-ferrous metals are up by about 4%. Machinery and equipment are rising more than 3%. Retail, metals, and construction are up by about 2%. In contrast, general services are down by about 2%. Finance and pharmaceuticals have fallen more than 1%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks in the KOSDAQ, Simtek and HPSP are surging by nearly 9%. Juseong Engineering is up by about 5%, Wonik IPS by about 4%, and Reno Industry by about 2%. AlteoGen is down more than 4%. EcoPro and EcoPro BM are down by more than 3%.
