On the 24th, SK Telecom announced that it has launched an industry-academia collaboration course in partnership with Seoul National University to cultivate future AI leaders. The goal is to directly nurture the next generation of talent who will lead the AI industry.
SKT will open the 'SKT-Seoul National University Joint AI Program' for graduate students majoring in Electrical and Information Engineering at Seoul National University in the second semester of 2026, operating lectures for 15 weeks.
The curriculum is structured into three areas: △AI apps and services, △AI modeling, and △AI infrastructure, tailored to SKT's full-stack AI capabilities.
SKT CEO Jung Jae-heon will begin the special lecture series on September 1 with a talk titled "Choices and Opportunities in the AI Era." He will be followed by SKT AI CIC Chief Yoo Kyung-sang, Kim Tae-yoon, who is in charge of foundation models, and other members of SKT's AI development organization, including Lim Won-gwa (Team Lead) and PhD-level staff. This marks the 10th year that SKT has conducted AI lectures in collaboration with Seoul National University.
SKT CEO Jung Jae-heon stated, "We will continue to collaborate with academia so that today's students can lead tomorrow's AI industry."
