Comedian Han Yun-seo (40) burst into tears at the pre-wedding meeting after hearing about her fiancé's family circumstances.
In an episode of TV Chosun's "Chosun's Lovers" broadcast on the 14th, the pre-wedding meeting between Han Yun-seo and her fiancé, Moon Jun-yong, was depicted.
The day before the pre-wedding meeting, Han Yun-seo traveled to Seoul from Cheongdo with her mother. The mother and daughter prepared by studying about a poet whom the future mother-in-law liked, and headed to the venue with nervous hearts. Han Yun-seo said, "I thought I would never have a pre-wedding meeting in my life. It's all about timing," while her mother replied joyfully, "It's not timing, it's fate."
The pre-wedding meeting began amid tension. Praise for the fiancé continued naturally. Han Yun-seo turned to her younger brother sitting next to her and said, "Try giving me some praise," confessing, "No one ever praises me."
Han's mother said, "When I saw him on TV, I was worried from the perspective of becoming his mother-in-law, wondering if he disliked my daughter. But the moment I met him in person, I felt at ease."
Nevertheless, Han Yun-seo's expression did not relax, and the fiancé shifted the mood by saying, "Now let's praise Yun-seo too." Han Yun-seo said, "Oppa, please give me some praise," to which the future mother-in-law showed a look of discomfort.

The future mother-in-law, while praising her son again, became emotional. She said, "Even when Mom and Dad were going through hard times, he never complained once. Dad was doing incredibly well until ten years ago, but (until recently) faced difficulties. That is when our son truly showed his worth."
The future father-in-law stated, "Jun-woong took on the role of the breadwinner," adding, "I have been unwell, became unemployed, and my business failed. Due to the business failure, I developed a stress-induced illness, which led to heart disease and colon cancer, and I battled it until last year. I am gradually recovering."
He continued, "It has been about 12 to 13 years since the business failure," revealing, "Between heart surgery and cancer surgery, we lost three real estate properties and used up all our cash. Jun-woong used his salary to pay for Dad's surgery and even cover the rent, so he couldn't save a single won. That always breaks my heart."
Han shared, "He told me that because he was taking care of his father and mother after we started dating, he never had a girlfriend and couldn't do much for himself. He said he intended to dedicate this life to his parents without getting married." She added, "I was also grateful because now that he is thinking about marrying me, he won't be able to help his parents as much as before. I worried they might feel hurt, but Mom and Dad happily said 'Thank you for everything' and encouraged him."
The future mother-in-law started doing caregiving work so as not to burden her son. She said, "I was worried my son wouldn't get married. Now I am living hard so that I don't have to assign him any difficult tasks," evoking sympathy.
She then added, "Yun-seo is too good for us," saying, "I am sorry if I seemed displeased. It feels like you gave birth to my daughter."
Hearing this, Han burst into sobs. She said, "This is a feeling I have never experienced since I was born," promising, "I didn't know such a thing would happen in my life. I am so grateful that the parents from both families raised me like their own child. From now on, we will take care of you, so please just accept our gratitude."
Meanwhile, Han held her wedding ceremony with Moon Jun-woong, a non-celebrity two years her senior, on the 11th.
