Actor Choi Soo-jong revealed his exceptional frugal habit of wearing just two pairs of shoes for 30 years. He expressed surprise by stating that he still wears them even after having only the soles replaced, and that he refuses when his wife, Ha Hee-ra, offers to buy him new ones.
In episode 332 of KBS2's 'The Rooftop Problem Kids,' which aired on the 3rd, Choi Soo-jong and Ha Hee-ra appeared as guests and discussed their married life and daily habits.
On this day, Choi Soo-jong expressed empathy with Kim Jong-kook, who is known as a representative frugal figure in the entertainment industry.
Choi Soo-jong said, "I have long been aware of Mr. Jong-kook's frugal habits," and revealed that he himself also strives to reduce unnecessary expenses.
Choi Soo-jong explained that turning off lights automatically as he passes by has become a daily routine for him in terms of saving electricity.
He then shared a recent anecdote, saying, "I was even scolded by Ha Hee-ra yesterday."
Choi Soo-jong recalled the situation, stating, "It had rained, so it was quite cold indoors. The boiler was set to 25 degrees, and I was in the process of lowering the temperature."
However, Ha Hee-ra, who was feeling the cold, tried to stop her husband's actions.
