"We must demonstrate execution across all areas, including development, production, and quality, to definitively prove that we can turn opportunities into results."
Jang Deok-hyun, president and CEO of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, made this remarks at the '53rd Anniversary Ceremony' at the company's Suwon plant in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, Monday.
He said, "With the expansion of AI servers and data centers, unprecedented major growth opportunities have emerged across all of Samsung Electro-Mechanics' core businesses, including MLCCs (multilayer ceramic capacitors) and package substrates."
He also called for improved work productivity based on 'AX (AI Transformation)' to create results. Jang said, "AI technology is fundamentally redefining how humans work," urging all employees to use their specialized 'AI agents' to streamline simple and repetitive tasks and focus their capabilities on more creative and valuable essential work.
He added, "The AI industry is currently just at 'January 1st,'" stating, "Since Samsung Electro-Mechanics possesses global partnerships, a unique product portfolio, and proven production capabilities, the key now is 'execution.'" This means that as the growth of the AI industry is still in its early stages, the company must seize new business opportunities based on execution.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics management, including President Jang, attended the ceremony. Employees at domestic and overseas sites, including Sejong and Busan, participated in real-time via the internal broadcasting network.
At the event, awards were presented for long-term service and to winning teams of the 'Internal AI Hackathon.' The AI hackathon was held to enhance employees' AI capabilities and drive work innovation. Outstanding employees who identified innovative challenges, such as manufacturing process optimization and business automation, received the honor of winning awards.
