Genesis has opened a new space where customers in the Jeolla region can view and test-drive its entire vehicle lineup.
Genesis officially opened Genesis Gwangju on Friday, its sixth dedicated showroom in South Korea, following locations in Hanam, Gangnam, Suji, Anseong and Cheongju.
Genesis Gwangju is the brand's first dedicated showroom in the Honam (Jeolla provinces) region. Customers can view and test-drive all Genesis models, as well as experience various exhibitions and community programs.
The building has seven floors above ground and three basement levels, with a total floor area of 9,881 square meters (approximately 2,994 pyeong), making it the largest Genesis showroom in the country.
The space was designed around the concept of "weaving light and reflections," inspired by Gwangju's identity as a city of light and water. The concept represents how light and surrounding scenery are reflected on water and buildings, blending together into a unified space like interwoven threads.
A waterside area on the lower floors reflects light and the surrounding landscape, while a transparent glass facade on the upper floors creates a sense of openness and embodies Genesis' understated aesthetic.
Genesis Gwangju features 20 display vehicles and dedicated spaces where visitors can experience the brand's design, technology and lifestyle. The first and second floors house a reception area, as well as dedicated spaces for test drives and vehicle handovers.
The test-drive lounge offers visitors a place to relax while enjoying Genesis' signature tea.
From the third to fifth floors, customers can explore the entire Genesis lineup and view and combine various color, material and finish (CMF) options for the vehicles.
The sixth floor serves as a special exhibition space showcasing the brand's future vision and design philosophy. To mark the opening, Genesis is displaying the GV90 and GV90 Neolun, allowing visitors to experience the brand's vision of future luxury.
The seventh floor houses the Owners Lounge, a private space exclusively for Genesis owners, as well as a rooftop cafe and terrace. Visitors can enjoy Genesis' signature tea, refreshments made with local ingredients from the Honam region and coffee from local roasters.
A Genesis official said, "Genesis Gwangju is more than just a space for displaying and selling vehicles. It is a place where the brand and its customers can build deeper connections. Through various programs that reflect local characteristics and differentiated customer experiences, we aim to expand our engagement with customers in the Honam region and establish the showroom as a key hub for strengthening our brand competitiveness."
