Basketball player Lee Gwan-hee (38) has acknowledged his relationship with influencer and former Miss Korea winner Yu Si-eun (29), whom he met through the Netflix dating reality show 'Single's Inferno 3'.
On the 29th, Lee Gwan-hee and Yu Si-eun announced their romance via their respective Instagram accounts, stating, "Amidst the warm attention from many people, we have quietly spent time getting to know each other."
They continued, "We now wish to express our sincere feelings directly to you all," adding, "Moving forward, we will cherish and support one another as we nurture a beautiful love."
They also added, "We kindly ask for your continued interest and warm support."
Along with the announcement, the couple released a photo of them together. The image shows Lee Gwan-hee smiling as he looks at Yu Si-eun.
Lee Gwan-hee was drafted in the second round, fifth pick, in 2011 and joined Seoul Samsung Thunders. He later played for Changwon LG Sakers and Wonju DB Promy before returning to Seoul Samsung Thunders last year.
Yu Si-eun is an influencer who debuted as a runner-up in the 66th Miss Korea pageant in 2022. She has appeared on Channel S's 'Attack of the Sisters' and TV Chosun's audition program 'Miss Trot 4'.
The couple has a nine-year age difference and met while appearing together on the Netflix dating reality show 'Single's Inferno 3', which was released in 2023. According to Sports Chosun, after the program ended, they maintained an older brother-younger sister relationship before developing into a romantic couple last December.
