A story was shared of a husband who refused to accept his wife's apology even after she knelt and apologized for scolding him for checking on food first when their 14-month-old son got injured.
In the JTBC variety program 'Divorce Reflection Camp,' which aired on the 20th, the household investigation of the third couple of Season 23, known as the 'Petty Couple,' was depicted.
During that broadcast, the husband of the 'Petty Couple' revealed that he felt hurt by his wife over a 'ramen incident' that occurred at her parents' home during her mother-in-law's 60th birthday party four years ago.
The husband said, "I told you several times, but you ignored me. I cried from the sadness back then," while choking up.
In response, the wife recalled, "It was when our first child was about 14 months old. My mother-in-law's 60th birthday was coming up, so I went with my husband," and added, "At dinner time, a bowl of ramen was placed in front of us, and hot broth from the ramen spilled onto the baby's bottom."
She continued, "The baby was crying hysterically, and I was shocked too. I held the baby and kept washing his bottom with cold water. I asked my husband to come over," she reported.
Then she said, "I had just managed to calm down our first child when my husband said, 'So, can I go eat now?'"
The wife, angry at her husband's behavior of seeking food immediately after the child was hurt, said, "I asked him, 'How can you think about eating in this situation?' and suddenly he burst into tears. When I asked why he was crying and who made him cry, he replied, 'You did it!'" expressing her disbelief.
The husband admitted to shedding tears at the time, saying, "My appearance must have been so pitiful. I am a precious person in our own home too."
Eventually, the wife knelt and apologized to her husband in front of her family members. However, the husband, who was deeply upset, refused to accept his wife's apology and did not sleep at home but slept in the car despite all her relatives being present.
Moreover, although the day after her mother-in-law's 60th birthday was the wife's birthday, the husband did not offer any birthday wishes. The wife said, "I didn't receive a happy birthday wish or even a birthday meal. It was quite hurtful."
The husband expressed, "I told him so many times to pay attention. Isn't it said that a son-in-law is a guest for a hundred years? How can you treat a guest for a hundred years like that? That was very hurtful. When I go there, I want someone to pay attention to me. It's still in my mind. You don't remember, do you?"
