Singer Lee Sang-soon has not appeared on his live radio show for a week due to poor condition, sparking ongoing concern among listeners.
In the MBC FM4U program "Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon" broadcast on the 5th, singer Thomas Cook served as a special DJ and hosted the show in Lee's place.
Lee voiced concerns about his poor condition during a broadcast on the 26th of last month. At that time, regular guest Thomas Cook started the broadcast first, announcing, "Soon-di (Lee Sang-soon's nickname) will be arriving a bit late due to poor condition."
Lee appeared in the studio about 10 minutes before the end of the broadcast. He apologized, saying, "Actually, I was at MBC but had to lie down in the medical room because I wasn't feeling well. You must have been surprised that I didn't come earlier. I am sorry for being late."
Lee went into rest starting the next day, the 27th. Thomas Cook explained on the broadcast at the time, "There is no special abnormality in his body; we determined he needed to adjust his condition, and after discussions with the production team, we decided to take a few days of rest."
On the 29th, a broadcast hosted by Lee Sang-soon was aired, but it was reported to be a pre-recorded segment. Since then, from the 30th through the 5th, he has not returned for seven consecutive days of live broadcasts, with Thomas Cook taking over hosting duties in his place.
As Lee's absence continues for over a week, concern among listeners is growing. The "Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon" team has not provided any additional news since announcing that Lee would take rest to adjust his condition.
His agency also did not reveal specific details about the situation. According to StarNews, an official from Lee's agency, Antenna, held back on comments regarding his absence from the radio show, stating, "We have not received a response yet."
