Comedian Shin Gi-ru expressed surprise at the changed appearance of former baseball player Hwang Jae-kyun, who lost 18kg after retirement and grew his hair.
Shin Gi-ru, Hwang Jae-kyun, Jang Young-ran, and Han Seok-jun appeared as guests on JTBC's variety program "Knowing Bros," which aired on the 5th.
Upon seeing Hwang Jae-kyun, Lee Sang-min remarked, "It feels like a mixed-gender group because of Jae-kyun," while Lee Su-geun also commented on his changed appearance, saying, "Jae-kyun looks like a retired idol."
In response, Hwang Jae-kyun said, "I really wanted to sing, so I thought I'd try growing my hair like an idol."
Hwang Jae-kyun also significantly reduced his weight after retirement. When Seo Jang-hoon reportedly asked him upon first seeing him, "Why are you like this?" Hwang revealed that he had lost a lot of weight since retiring. It is known that Hwang recently shed 18kg.
Hearing this, Shin Gi-ru said, "It feels somehow different from us," adding, "He gives off the vibe of a middle-aged adult film actor, so I can't look at him," which drew laughter.
On the broadcast, the four appeared together due to their connection as members of the same agency as Seo Jang-hoon and Kang Ho-dong. Seo Jang-hoon stated, "It's true that we came up with the idea to group them since there are many family members in our company," but added, "I didn't expect all four of us to appear."
Shin Gi-ru further added humor by saying, "Jang Do-yeon and Moon Se-yoon couldn't make it due to scheduling conflicts."
