Singer Seo In-young (42), formerly a member of the group Jewelry, has addressed past controversies involving profanity.
On the 9th, a preview video titled "Anything You Want—Secretaries" was released on SBS's YouTube channel. In the video, Seo In-young introduced herself by saying, "I have become much calmer than before. I have completely reformed."
When Kim Kwang-gyu firmly stated, "It doesn't change easily," Seo In-young revealed, "I thought I would really get beaten if I couldn't do it properly." In response, Lee Seo-jin remarked, "(The situation) seems to have gotten worse."
Later, during a meal, Seo In-young directly addressed the past controversy, stating, "They said I abused my power. There were rumors that I wouldn't fly unless it was first class."
She added, "I admit I acted out in the past," drawing attention with her candid remarks. She further explained her current situation by saying, "I believe this is a process through which I can change to achieve even greater success."
Seo In-young debuted as a member of the group Jewelry in 2002 and later gained widespread affection for her activities as both a solo singer and television personality.
However, in 2017, she came under scrutiny when a video surfaced showing her using profanity toward staff during an overseas shoot for a variety program. In the video, Seo In-young was heard swearing at her long-time manager. As the controversy grew, she explained that she had engaged in inappropriate behavior due to heightened emotions caused by poor working conditions.
