Actress Son Ye-jin shared her husband Hyun Bin and son’s tastes and eating habits.
In the JTBC variety program "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" aired on Sunday, Son appeared and revealed the refrigerator she actually uses at home.
In that day's broadcast, Son showcased her exceptional cooking skills.
Previously, Son had posted photos of homemade dishes such as dumplings, pasta, pizza, and kimbap, drawing admiration. She also shared meal plan photos for her son.
Son revealed that her husband Hyun Bin likes kimchi stew and steamed egg, attracting attention.
MC Kim Sung-ju responded, "I'm curious about what Hyun Bin eats well, and since Son Ye-jin cooks so well, I'm curious about the refrigerator."
The refrigerator was packed with cooking ingredients, earning praise from the chefs.
Regarding her son's breakfast, Son said, "He likes oatmeal, pumpkin, and corn bread. We mix milk and eggs into the oatmeal, add chopped pumpkin, corn, and apple, then bake it in an air fryer, and he eats it well."
She continued, "Surprisingly, my son loves pancakes and rice cakes. He has a good appetite." She added, "Even if we don't give him candy when he asks for it, he just accepts it."
When MC Ahn Jung-hwan said, "He'll lie down soon," Son responded, "We raise our children very strictly, so he must stand up," while raising both hands.
Son noted that her son's tastes resemble his father's, saying, "It seems like he inherited from the father's side. He likes plain flavors."
She further added, "He eats seolleongtang without salt. It seems he enjoys its clear taste," and mentioned, "I prefer sweet things." Then, laughing, she said, "Since I'm a chef Lisa, I inevitably tailor meals to my own tastes. (As for my husband,) he just eats whatever is given."
Son said, "I eat all the food my child leaves behind. It's a waste," showing her side as a "real-life mother."
When MC Ahn Jremarked, "If the child leaves food while eating, the mother eats it; if more is left, the father eats it," Son replied, "That's right. It's a 'national rule.'" Regarding the situation where Hyun Bin ate the last remaining food, she added, "I feel sorry for him."
Son married actor Hyun, with whom she co-starred in the tvN drama "Crash Landing on You," after two years of dating in March 2022, and welcomed their son in November of that year.
