A story has emerged about a man who reportedly earned 5 billion won through stock investments and is considering divorcing his wife. He stated that his wife had looked down on him for not earning money and did not want to share the investment profits.
KBS Joy's 'Ask Me Anything' introduced the story of Mr. A, a man in his 12th year of marriage, during its broadcast on the 14th.
Mr. A said, "I'm practically an invisible person at home because I don't earn much money," adding, "Even after getting off work and coming home, I can't even get a warm meal. My wife also continued to reject our marital relationship."
It is reported that Mr. A's monthly salary is around 3 million won. He claimed that his wife would taunt him in front of their children by saying, "If you earn 5 million won this month, I'll have sex with you," and "You can't even make money, yet your libido is disgustingly high."
Believing it was difficult to become wealthy by saving only his salary, Mr. A reportedly began studying stocks. He said, "I secretly sold the apartment my late father left me and invested in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix stocks," adding, "I sold at the peak and earned 5 billion won through stocks."
After succeeding in his investments, Mr. A began considering divorce from his wife. He stated, "I don't want to give even a single won to my family who looked down on me because of money," and asked, "Is there no way I can hide the fact that I made a fortune from stocks and claim I only earned 100 million won, then share just 5 billion won with her?"
MC Seo Jang-hoon, upon hearing the story, said, "There's no way. If they investigate your assets, everything will come out. You'll have to split it cleanly in half. Your children will also inherit something somehow."
He continued, "Refusing to give her money is a foolish idea," and advised, "Either restore your relationship with your family and live well together, or if you can't stand them anymore due to resentment, get divorced."
